BRIDGING KITCHEN PACKS,
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7TH
We will put together 100 kitchen packs for Bridging after the evening Lenten Service. This project is family-friendly in which young children can participate. It involves making kitchen pack bundles that contain a can opener, dish towel/cloth, mixing spoon and spatula along with other donated items.
SERVING DINNER AT CORNERSTONE,
TUESDAY, MARCH 13TH
We will serve dinner to approximately 50 adults and children at Cornerstone Advocacy Services. Cornerstone assists individuals leaving domestic violence situations. Please arrive between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Cornerstone asks that only adults participate. Cornerstone is located at 1000 E 80th Street in Bloomington.
OPEN ARMS WELCOME BAGS & SHUT-IN EASTER BAGS, TUESDAY, MARCH 20TH
Starting at 10:00 a.m., we will tie small fleece blankets for new Open Arms families and put the blankets and a family devotional into welcome bags. We will also fill Easter Bags that will be delivered to our shut-ins and the men at the Heritage Hills Group home. We will have doughnuts and coffee at 10:00 a.m. A light lunch will also be served.
LOVE ONE ANOTHER SANDWICH MAKING & PROTEIN BAGS, SATURDAY, APRIL 21ST
We will make 1,000 sandwiches and fill 100 protein bags for people in need throughout the metro area. We will start at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Doughnuts and coffee will be available starting at 9:00 a.m. This is a family-friendly project in which young children can participate.
FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN,
THURSDAY, MAY 3RD
We will work at the Feed My Starving Children packing facility in Eagan. We will start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Please come and turn “hunger into hope” by packing nutritious meals for hungry children around the world. Children 5 and older and sit-down volunteers can participate. Please wear closed-toed shoes and remove any jewelry. You can meet us at the Eagan packing site (990 Lone Oak Road, Suite 136) or car-pool with us from Holy Emmanuel leaving the church parking lot at 5:30 p.m.
